Indigenous Peoples have always been innovative.
Our goal is to empower First Nation, Inuit and Métis innovators and communities to identify and solve their own challenges, transform lives and drive inclusive growth, wellbeing and cultural revitalization through innovation.
The Indigenous Innovation Initiative was designed to address the gendered and racialized barriers to economic participation.
We support innovative and scalable Indigenous-led ideas for impact. Supporting First Nation, Inuit and Métis communities to solve complex health, social and economic challenges in their community must start by encompassing policies and process which are deeply rooted in First Nation, Inuit and Métis values, principles and ways of knowing and being so that they can then transform how to collect and use Indigenous Knowledges and data for meaningful impact.
